Primary Sports Day Grade 1 through Grade 6

Dear Students, Parents and Staff,

On Friday, April 8th, IICS will be hosting our PYP Sports Day. This will be a wonderful

opportunity for students to showcase their skills, teamwork, sportsmanship and enjoyment of

physical exercise and competition. We would love to see the parents in attendance as well, so

come to cheer on our students!

Please have your child bring a water bottle, a hat, and be dressed appropriately for being

active outside on a hot and sunny day.

The day will be split into two sections:

Grades 1-3 in the morning from 10am-12noon

Grades 4-6 in the afternoon from 12:30-2.30pm

Classes will be split into 3 or 4 teams by color, and compete within their classes to score

points. It will run as a circuit structure where class groups rotate around the stations

participating in the various events. Students are encouraged to get into the team spirit and

dress up in their colors for the day. The teams will be posted on my website soon.

The goal of the day is to promote healthy living, being active, friendly competition and good

sportsmanship.

Please put the date in your calendars. More details of the day will follow in the coming days

and weeks.

Thank you for your support,

Stewart Dean, Tyler Spackman. Andrea Spackman
